Meet the Team

Vertex Finance Club is an investment, finance, and technology community. We invest in financial markets and manage a shared portfolio, bringing together ambitious students who are passionate about rigorous research and real-world investing.

Whether you are taking your first steps in equity research or you already have a strong foundation in financial modelling, VFC is the environment to challenge yourself, sharpen your thinking, and grow both professionally and personally.

Each year, we welcome a new cohort of members who contribute to investment research, portfolio management, and our community. We also want to introduce a Quant Team focused on data-driven strategies and systematic research. Joining VFC means joining a network of students and alumni who share the same passion for excellence.

Professional Events

Professional events bring members into direct contact with the people and ideas shaping finance and technology. Through speaker sessions, workshops, company visits, and case competitions, we look beyond theory and explore how investment decisions, financial analysis, and business challenges work in practice.

These events are designed to create genuine conversations with industry professionals while giving members practical skills they can use in their own research and future careers. Whether the focus is valuation, markets, strategy, or technology, VFC gives members a place to ask questions, test their thinking, and build meaningful professional connections.

Member Activities

VFC is also a community outside of our meetings and professional events. We have already organised restaurant visits and escape rooms, giving members the chance to get to know one another in a relaxed setting and build stronger connections beyond investment discussions.

We want to keep creating space for members to suggest and enjoy new activities together. Tennis, padel, dinners, and other shared experiences can all become part of the VFC calendar. These moments make the club more personal and strengthen the trust that supports our work as a team.

Investing

Investing is central to VFC. From the beginning, members take part in researching companies, discussing market developments, and shaping investment ideas with the rest of the team. By becoming a shareholder, members gain direct exposure to how a real portfolio is built and learn to defend their analysis in an environment where curiosity, preparation, and constructive challenge matter.

We manage the VFC portfolio together through regular meetings, where members present research, evaluate existing positions, and decide how the portfolio should develop over time. Every shareholder has a voice in the process and shares in the outcome. Alongside our fundamental investing approach, we want to introduce a Quant Team to explore data-driven strategies, systematic research, and the technology behind modern investing.
